What this class works with

A complete class built around non-translation, receiving each sensation, sound, or narrative as it arrives without relating it to a story or fitting it somewhere specific. A cactus-shaped arm pattern (elbows flexed, forearms parallel to the floor, turning the arms in and out) threads through the standing sequence, building toward Parighasana on each side as the peak kneeling side bend.

In this class

  • •Seated centering on receiving sensation, sound, and breath without narrating or placing it anywhere specific
  • •Anjali salutation with the Om and Shanti chant, inviting a soft ambient sound (bell, gong, or singing bowl) into the space
  • •Standing weight shifts forward-back and side-to-side
  • •Dynamic pendulum (hips dipping back, arms reaching forward then flexing into a cactus shape behind the body) cycling into a rolling ragdoll through the back
  • •Cactus-arm pattern held with forearms parallel to the floor, turning the arms inward to round and emboss the back, then outward to expand the front
  • •Side bends with a floating ragdoll rotation over one hip, then the other, deepening into a soft knee bend
  • •Pendulum into Warrior 1, evolving through the cactus arm pattern into Parighasana (Gate Pose) with one arm reaching back and down, side bending over the extended leg on each side
  • •Recurring three-legged dog into high plank, four-point kneeling, child, and cat/cow between cycles
  • •Windshield wipers with the knees dropping side to side
  • •Hanging bridge with the arms reaching overhead then resting beside the head, rolled through a few cycles
  • •Shavasana with legs resting on a chair
