What this class works with
A post-Navaratri class that explores rest discovered through movement rather than stillness, centering on the goddess pose as a gateway into the groin, legs, and base of the spine where the Mooladhara Chakra and the dormant Shakti are said to reside. The physical spine builds from pendulum arm patterns and rag dolls into sustained goddess pose work, cat pose hip rotations, and three-legged dog, with repeated attention to sensation at the pelvic floor.
In this class
- •Dynamic pendulum arms dropping into Goddess Pose with cross-arm tuck and tailbone scoop
- •Cat pose with single-leg internal/external rotation, then circular hip movements forward-back and side-to-side
- •Three-legged downward dog from cat, alternating legs, stepping out into Goddess Pose
- •Side bend to right and left combined with opposing hip shifts in standing Goddess
- •Child, cat, cow sequencing with awareness held at the pelvic floor
- •windshield wipers, bridge with pelvic tilt and suspension, legs-on-chair Shavasana
