What this class works with
A pranayama-focused class exploring Brahmari, the humming bee breath, as a doorway into the felt sense of Brahman, completeness, rather than a translated technique. Parveen builds through gentle standing shakes, arm patterns, ragdoll and side bends, four-point kneeling, downward dog, and a prone windshield-wiper and spiral sequence, before settling into seated Brahmari humming across several cycles. Throughout, the inquiry is whether stillness and sensation are fragments or expressions of one unchanging awareness, like waves inseparable from the ocean.
In this class
- •Seated Brahmari humming bee breath across multiple cycles, with awareness of where the hum resonates in the body
- •Standing body shake with gentle head nodding and tilting, then single and double arm raises with shake and drop
- •Ragdoll with layered arm pattern, pelvic tilt and spinal flexion, held with pauses to notice breath
- •Standing side bend into rotation and release into ragdoll, alternating sides
- •Vajrasana arm pattern with anterior/posterior pelvic tilt coordinated with breath
- •Prone windshield wipers with one-sided bouncing and spinal spirals lifting opposite leg and arm
- •Four-point kneeling cat-cow imagined as movement originating from bone marrow
- •Closing Shavasana or seated meditation, then Anjali mudra and closing chant
