Terms of service
Last updated 26 October 2026
These terms apply to the Embodied Yoga website, the Online Shala and the Embodied Yoga app (together, "the service"). By creating an account or becoming a member, you agree to them.
Who we are
Embodied Yoga is run by Parveen Nair. Payments and the technical service are operated by Brian Gonzalez on Parveen’s behalf. Contact: embodiedyoga.support@gmail.com.
Your account
- You need to be 13 or over. If you are under 18, a parent or guardian should know about and agree to your account.
- Keep your password to yourself. A membership is for one person; please do not share your account.
- You can delete your account at any time from your Account page or in the app.
Memberships
- Plans: Standard monthly, Seasonal (billed every 3 months), Annual, and Sponsor (an amount you choose, at least $25 a month, also available every 3 months or yearly). Prices are shown on the join page before you pay.
- Free trial: new members get the first 14 days free on any plan. Your card is taken when you start, and you are first charged when the trial ends, at the plan’s price. Cancel before then and you are not charged. We email you a reminder before the trial ends. One free trial per person.
- Automatic renewal: every membership renews automatically at the end of each period, at the same price and on the same plan, until you cancel. Your card is charged at the start of each new period.
- Cancelling: cancel any time online from your Account page (Manage billing). Your membership stays active until the end of the period you have paid for, and is not charged again.
- Price changes: if the price of your plan changes, we will email you at least 30 days before it applies to you, and you can cancel before then.
- Refunds: payments are not refunded for a period that has already started, except where the law requires it. If something has gone wrong, write to us and we will look at it.
- Passes: a pass is a private membership offered at a special price, sometimes free, sometimes for a set time or a limited number of people. Pass links are personal and should not be shared.
Shop purchases
Collections bought in the shop are paid once and stay yours for as long as the service runs, with or without a membership. Because the classes open as soon as payment goes through, purchases are final once you have played a class from them, except where the law requires otherwise.
Free classes
The Full Moon Purnima sessions and any classes marked free are open to everyone, with no account needed.
Your health
Yoga is physical. The classes are general guidance, not medical advice, and not a substitute for a teacher who can see you. Check with a doctor before starting if you are pregnant, injured, recovering from surgery or have a health condition. Practise within your own limits and stop if something hurts. You take part at your own risk.
Comments and live chat
Be kind. Do not post anything unlawful, hateful, harassing, sexual, or advertising, or anything you do not have the right to share. The studio team can remove comments and messages, and suspend accounts that break these rules. You keep the rights to what you write, and allow us to show it in the service. To report something, use Report on the comment or write to us.
The classes are ours
The recordings, notes, images and other content belong to Parveen Nair and Embodied Yoga, or to the people who licensed them to us. Your membership lets you watch them for your own practice. Please do not download, copy, share, sell or publicly show them, or use them to teach or train others, without written permission.
If someone uses your work without permission
If you believe something on the service infringes your copyright, write to embodiedyoga.support@gmail.com with the work, where it appears, and your contact details. We will remove it promptly if the notice is valid.
The app
The app is for members to sign in and practise. Memberships are not sold in the app. The app stores’ own terms also apply to the app you download from them.
Changes to the service and to these terms
We may change classes, features and these terms. If a change to the terms affects members in a meaningful way, we will email you at least 30 days before it applies. If you do not agree, you can cancel before then.
Ending things
You can stop at any time by cancelling and deleting your account. We can suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, and will refund any unused part of a paid period if we close it without cause.
Limits of responsibility
We work to keep the service running and the classes available, but we cannot promise it will always be uninterrupted. To the extent the law allows, our total responsibility for any claim related to the service is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before it. Nothing here limits rights you have as a consumer that cannot be limited by contract.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without affecting the consumer protections of the country where you live.
